Our Roots
My name is Ana Khan, and I am the Founder, Owner, and CEO of Khani by Ana Khan.
I come from a small town called Bradford, in the United Kingdom, where I was raised by my incredible mother alongside my four siblings. As a single parent, my mother provided us with the best upbringing possible, grounded in our religion, Islam, and enriched with deep respect for our culture and heritage.
From a young age, I was surrounded by nature and learned to appreciate the benefits it offers. My mother taught us to rely on natural ingredients, whether through her home-cooked meals or her simple, effective remedies for everyday illnesses. Despite life’s challenges, she was always smiling, content, and glowing both inside and out.
The Inspiration
My mother’s secret was beautifully simple. She used natural ingredients and homemade formulas, never relying on expensive products or complex skincare routines. This natural and mindful approach became the foundation of my passion for clean beauty.
As I grew older and began raising a family of my own, I became increasingly aware of what we were putting on our skin. I tried countless products even the most luxurious ones yet they often contained harsh chemicals or overpowering fragrances that failed to deliver real results. That experience inspired me to create something different something pure.
The Journey to Khani
My search for truly natural skincare led me to Istanbul, Turkey, where I met Mr. Sedar, a respected expert in the clean beauty industry. He is a qualified, certified, and halal cosmetics formulator, as well as a dermatologist-approved professional known for his exceptional knowledge and innovation.
When I shared my vision with him, I explained my dream of creating a skincare line that embodied faith, purity, and natural beauty and included Zamzam water in every product. Having performed Umrah twice in one year, I felt spiritually renewed and wanted to reflect that connection through my brand. Zamzam water, known for its spiritual and anti-inflammatory properties, became the heart of our formulations.
Together, we sourced the finest natural ingredients and began developing a range of skincare products that truly honour nature, purity, and tradition. That was the moment Khani was born.
A Legacy of Strength
The name Khani carries deep personal meaning. It is inspired by my late great-grandfather, Mohammed Akram Khan , a man of integrity, strength, and resilience. He came to this country and worked tirelessly to create a better future for our family. His legacy of hard work and determination lives on through Khani.
Throughout this journey, I have been blessed with unwavering support from my husband , my rock, my soulmate, and my best friend known to many as Mr. Wakey Wines. His encouragement and belief in me have given me the strength and confidence to pursue my dreams. Through him, I also discovered the TikTok community, which has become a beautiful family of people who share our values and love for natural, effective skincare.
